Thank you Appolo!

Damn jet lag... After waking up at 2am ready to go I fell back asleep till 8 and then was fully ready to take on a double espresso or 2 or 3 and explore Firenze on my terms; on our terms. With no agenda, no plans, no nothin' we headed out under BLUE skies! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It wasn't the crystal blue you see in late August that contrasts sharply against the deep green maple leaves back home, but more of a happy blue that fought with puffy clouds for their parking spot up front. It was heaven, or as close to what I perceive such a place to look like. The rain-soaked streets were drying up, roof gutters were dripping the last drops, umbrellas were traded in for sunglasses and espresso was being had outside on the cobblestone as opposed to shoulder-to-shoulder around a bar. The report was for steady rain for the next 6 days. Was somebody throwing us a bone? Were we being rewarded for yesterdays navigation of the impossible labyrinth. Or maybe it had just rained all the rain a cloud could give. There would be more to come.
